Biesdorf-Süd

Named after Biesdorf; ‘Süd’ means south.

Biesdorf, first recorded in 1375 as ‘Bysterstorff’, became part of Greater Berlin in 1920. The station opened on 1 July 1988 on the eastern extension of line E, today’s U5. The station lies above ground, with the Biesdorfer Baggersee, a lake, just to the north.
