Messe Süd

Westend

Named after the exhibition grounds (Messe) to the north and the Eichkamp estate.

The halt opened in 1928 as Eichkamp, a name going back to the old field name ‘Willmersdorffischer Eichelkamp’. It was renamed Deutschlandhalle in 1936, after the newly built hall nearby, and Eichkamp again in 1946. Since 2002 it has been Messe Süd (Eichkamp), referring to the exhibition grounds north of the railway and the Eichkamp housing estate to the south-west.
