Named after Mollstraße and Prenzlauer Allee, which meet here.
Mollstraße was named in 1963 after Joseph Moll (1813–1849), a revolutionary and member of the Communist League, who fell in the fighting of 1849. Prenzlauer Allee was an early trade route to Prenzlau in the Uckermark. Until about 1824 it was Heinersdorfer Weg; it then became the Prenzlauer Chaussee and from 1878 an Allee (avenue).
