Rathaus Spandau

Named after the Rathaus Spandau, the town hall at the edge of Spandau's old town.

Spandau built its new town hall from 1910 to 1913 to underline its status as an independent town; it was inaugurated on 15 September 1913. Its 80-metre tower makes it the tallest building in the borough. The U-Bahn station, western terminus of the U7, opened in 1984; BVG buses show ‘S+U Rathaus Spandau’, while the S-Bahn station is simply called Spandau.
