Named after the poet Friedrich von Schiller.
Friedrich von Schiller (1759–1805) was a poet and writer. On this street stand a housing estate for tram workers, built by Karl Mohr in 1927–1930, and the former Niederschönhausen tram depot next to it; both are listed monuments.
