Traveplatz

Friedrichshain

Named after Travestraße, which recalls the river Trave.

The square takes its name from the adjoining Travestraße, named in 1905 after the Trave, a river in Schleswig-Holstein. The planners first called the green space simply Platz F; it got its name in 1908. Two bronze sculptures by Siegfried Krepp stand on it.
