Named after Wutzkyallee, which honours the trade unionist Emil Wutzky.
Emil Wutzky (1871–1963), a typesetter by training, was a trade unionist, co-operative activist and Social Democrat. He sat on the town council of Rixdorf (later Neukölln) from 1899 to 1917 and was a salaried city councillor of Berlin from 1920 to 1932. The street in the new Gropiusstadt estate was named after him in 1966; the station opened on 2 January 1970.
