Canons Park

Harrow

Named after the canons of St Bartholomew's Priory, who owned land here.

After Henry VIII closed the priory, the estate passed to private owners. In the early 18th century the Duke of Chandos built a grand house here called Cannons, which was pulled down in 1747. Its grounds became Canons Park.
