Named after Pol (Paul) Albrecht (1874–1975), composer.
Born in the Saint-Esprit barracks to a military musician, he joined the Military Band at 15 and served it for 49 years, leading it before he retired in 1939. The critic Léon Blasen called him the great Luxembourg 'march king'. He set over 20 Luxembourgish plays to music, among them Demy Schlechter's first comedy, 'Sou sinn s'all' (1911).
