Kierch (Cessange)

'Kierch' is Luxembourgish for church.

Until 1903 the people of Cessange went to church in Hollerich; that year the village got its own church. By the 1960s it was too small again, and in 1969 work began on a larger building with 400 seats. The new church was consecrated in 1972; its stained-glass windows were designed by Gustave Zanter.
