A home for older people since 1892.
Jean-Pierre Pescatore (1793–1855) was born in Luxembourg and made a fortune as a businessman and banker in Paris. In 1853 he gave half a million francs to build a home for elderly people. He also left his art collection to the city; it is now in the Villa Vauban.
