Jean Piret (died 1680), ironmaster.
This Walloon ironmaster bought the Brückenberg estate at Colmar on the Attert in 1645 and built a blast furnace there. It smelted bog iron ore from the surrounding valleys. The city named this Cloche d'Or street after him in 1985.
