Named after the 'Jhangeli' railway.
'Jhangeli' was the nickname of Luxembourg's narrow-gauge railways, including the line from Luxembourg to Remich, opened in 1882. The linguist Robert Bruch thought the name might come from an old verb meaning to move slowly back and forth.
