'Kasinosgaass' means Casino lane.
It is the Luxembourgish name for the upper part of the Côte d'Eich, between the rue du Nord and the Grand-Rue. The name recalls the officers' casino of the Prussian garrison that once stood here. The Casino Luxembourg, today a centre for contemporary art, is elsewhere, at 41 rue Notre-Dame.
