'Gemeng' is Luxembourgish for commune, and also for town hall.
The stop is by Leudelange town hall. The village is first mentioned in 786, as Lullingas. From 1823 it was part of the commune of Reckange-sur-Mess, until a law of 3 March 1856 made Leudelange a commune of its own on 1 July 1856. Its coat of arms shows a black bear that comes from the arms of St Maximin’s Abbey in Trier.
