‘Mëlleref’ is the Luxembourgish name of Mullendorf, in the commune of Steinsel.
Mullendorf (Müllendorf in German) lies in the Alzette valley, west of the river, like Steinsel itself. Two mills once stood in what is now the commune, the Bintzemillen and the Werdelsmillen, and the villages of Mullendorf and Steinsel respectively grew up from them over time.
