Les Thermes

Strassen

Named after the Les Thermes swimming centre.

Strassen and Bertrange set up a joint syndicate for the pool in 2002. The architects Jim Clemes, Witry & Witry and Hermann & Valentiny won the design competition in 2004. The centre, which lies entirely in Strassen, opened in 2009 with more than 1,000 m² of water. The two communes shared its cost of 35 million euros, and it drew 500,000 visitors in its first year.
