Named after the rue Cadet, after the gardeners Jacques and Jean Cadet.
The brothers were master gardeners from the time of Charles IX and owned the 'clos Cadet', a walled field crossed by the lane that became the street. The station is decorated in American colours, because it also lies under the rue La Fayette, named after the general who fought in the American War of Independence.
