Dugommier

Paris 12e

Named after the rue Dugommier, which honours General Jacques François Dugommier (1738–1794).

He was a general of the French Revolution. The station opened in 1909 as Charenton, after the rue de Charenton, and was renamed on 12 July 1939, probably to avoid confusion with the new stations of line 8 in Charenton.
