Fort d'Aubervilliers

Named after the fort of Aubervilliers nearby.

The fort was one of the works decided by Thiers in 1840 to protect the capital, built in the 1840s to control the road to Flanders. It was built on land of Pantin, only annexed to Aubervilliers in 1851. The army used it until 1973.
