Gallieni

Bagnolet

Named after the avenue Gallieni in Bagnolet, which honours Joseph Gallieni (1849–1916).

As military governor of Paris in 1914, Gallieni helped win the First Battle of the Marne. He was made a Marshal of France after his death, in 1921. The station, subtitled Parc de Bagnolet, opened in 1971.
