Guy Môquet

Paris 17e, 18e

Named after the rue Guy-Môquet, which honours Guy Môquet (1924–1941), a young Communist shot by the Nazis.

He was taken hostage and shot at the age of 17. The station opened in 1911 as Carrefour Marcadet, became Marcadet – Balagny in 1912 and took his name on 27 January 1946, together with the street.
