Named after the Belgian city of Liège, to honour its resistance in 1914.
The station opened in 1911 as Berlin. When the First World War began it was closed, and it reopened on 1 December 1914 renamed after Liège, whose forts held back the German attack. Its tiles show landscapes and monuments of the province of Liège.
