Named after the boulevard Voltaire, after the writer and philosopher.
François-Marie Arouet, known as Voltaire (1694–1778), was one of the great figures of the 18th century. The station is subtitled Léon Blum, after the square renamed in 1957 for the socialist statesman. It opened in 1933.
