Named after August Neilreich, a judge and botanist.
August Neilreich (1803–1871) was a judge in Vienna and a keen botanist from his youth: in 1846 he published a ‘Flora von Wien’. When illness forced him to retire early in 1856, he devoted himself fully to botany and published a ‘Flora von Niederösterreich’ in 1858/1859. The lane was named after him in 1875.
