Named after Feldtmannstraße, which honours Heinrich Feldtmann, a Weißensee village head.
Heinrich Feldtmann (1838–1905) was the Gemeindevorsteher, the elected head of the municipality, of Weißensee. The street, which had its name by 1900, runs from Berliner Allee to Hansastraße; its first stretch lies in Weißensee, the rest in Alt-Hohenschönhausen.
