Named after Gotlindestraße, which recalls Gotlinde, a figure from the Nibelung saga.
The street, first called ‘Straße 25’, was named in 1926 after Gotlinde, a character of the Nibelung saga, like several streets nearby. Today the Lichtenberg job centre stands here, in a much-rebuilt complex that once belonged to the headquarters of the Stasi, the GDR’s Ministry for State Security.
