Named after Landsberger Chaussee and Zossener Straße, which meet here.
Landsberger Chaussee, originally the ‘Chaussee nach Alt-Landsberg’, already existed at the start of the 19th century; it carries on from Landsberger Allee into Brandenburg. Zossener Straße, named in 1987, honours the town of Zossen, about 20 kilometres south of the Berlin city boundary. Its name probably comes from the Old Sorbian word for pine, to which the town’s coat of arms also refers.
