Schönfließer Straße

Prenzlauer Berg

Named after Bad Schönfließ, now Trzcińsko-Zdrój in Poland.

The street was named in 1903 after Schönfließ, a town in the Province of Brandenburg. It came to Brandenburg in 1281 as ‘Schowenfliet’, became a mud spa at the end of the 19th century and was allowed to call itself ‘Bad’ (spa) from 1907. Since 1945 it has been Trzcińsko-Zdrój in Poland.
