Named after Björnsonstraße, which honours the Norwegian writer Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson.
Bjørnson (1832–1910) was a Norwegian poet and politician who wrote Norway’s national anthem, ‘Ja, vi elsker dette landet’. In 1903 he became the first Scandinavian to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature. The short street, first planned as ‘Straße 9’, got his name in 1911.
