Named after two streets: Wilhelminenhofstraße and Edisonstraße.
Wilhelminenhofstraße recalls the Wilhelminenhof, an excursion restaurant opened on the Spree in the early 19th century by Johann Philipp Otto Reinbeck; big factories such as the AEG cable works later lined it. Edisonstraße honours the American inventor Thomas Alva Edison (1847–1931), famous for the phonograph and the light bulb.
