Named after Wühlischstraße and Gärtnerstraße, which cross here.
Wühlischstraße (around 1901) honours August Wühlisch (1805–1886), a merchant and landowner. Gärtnerstraße, named before 1882, recalls the people who worked in the market gardens (Gärtnereien) of Boxhagen; on the plan it had first been Straße 19.
