Goodge Street

Camden

Named after John Goodge, who gained the land in 1718.

Before the houses were built it was a meadow called Crab Tree Field. His sons built on it from about 1746. The station opened in 1907 as Tottenham Court Road and was renamed Goodge Street a year later.
