Henri Heymanns (1879–1917), mayor of Eich.
A savings-bank official, he was mayor of the former commune of Eich in 1916–1917 and died in November 1917 after gas poisoning. Formed after the French Revolution, Eich took in Beggen, Dommeldange, Weimerskirch, Kirchberg, Neudorf and more, until it merged with Luxembourg City in 1920. His street in Beggen is only about 80 metres long.
