Named after the Archdukes Albert and Isabella.
From their court in Brussels, Archduke Albert of Austria and Infanta Isabella of Spain ruled the Spanish Netherlands, which included the Duchy of Luxembourg, from 1598 to 1621. The avenue des Archiducs remembers them.
