‘Kirfecht’ is Luxembourgish for cemetery – the dictionary spells it ‘Kierfecht’.
The stop is next to the Bertrange cemetery. The cemetery and its columbarium were extended and redesigned, with a garden of remembrance where ashes are scattered. For this setting the artist Marie-Josée Kerschen created the sculpture ‘Die Lebensspirale’ (‘the spiral of life’) in 2008.
