Richard Wagner (1813–1883), composer.
The German composer wrote both the words and the music of all his stage works, among them the four-opera cycle 'The Ring of the Nibelung'. He had his own opera house built in Bayreuth, which still stages only his mature works at the yearly Bayreuth Festival. Gasperich also has a street named after another German composer, Christoph Willibald Gluck.
