The Hollerich bus station.
Hollerich's old railway station stands in the same quarter. During the Nazi occupation (1940–1945) it was one of the main departure points for young Luxembourgers forced into the German labour service and the German army, and thousands of Luxembourgers seen as politically hostile were resettled from Hollerich. The station building now holds the Deportation Memorial, with an exhibition on Luxembourg in the Second World War.
