Named after East 174th and East 175th Streets, which both pass beneath the Concourse.
The station lies under the Grand Concourse between East 174th and 175th Streets, and takes both names. The two streets cross beneath the boulevard, which runs along the summit of a hillside here. Like the other cross streets of the West Bronx, they follow Manhattan’s numbering system.
