Créteil – L'Échat

Named after the town of Créteil and the Échat business district, after the old chemin de l'Échat.

Créteil's Gaulish name, Cristoilum, is said to come from a Gaul named Cristos. The subtitle Hôpital Henri Mondor refers to the university hospital beside the station, opened in 1969 and named after Henri Mondor (1885–1962), a surgeon and literary historian elected to the Académie française. We have not yet found what Échat means.
