Mouton-Duvernet

Paris 14e

Named after the rue Mouton-Duvernet, which honours General Mouton-Duvernet.

Régis Barthélemy Mouton-Duvernet (1769–1816) was a general of the Empire, shot in 1816 for rallying to Napoleon during the Hundred Days. In 1969 the station was redecorated with bright orange tiles, a look later nicknamed the 'Mouton style'. It went back to classic white tiles in 2007.
