Named after the Marina Wien, a harbour for pleasure boats on the Danube (Donau).
A marina is a harbour whose moorings and facilities are designed for sailing and motor yachts. The Marina Wien lies at Handelskai 343 in the 2nd district; the station stands above the Handelskai, on the right bank of the Danube. Besides its sports boat harbour, the marina has a school for boat skippers and restaurants.
