Named after Blissestraße, which recalls the Wilmersdorf farming family Blisse.
Christian Blisse (1823–1905) sold his land to the growing city later than other farmers and became a ‘millionaire farmer’, nicknamed ‘Millionen-Blisse’. He used his money for charity, and his widow left the town three million marks for an orphanage. The street running through the family’s former fields was given its name in 1947.
