Named after Feuerbachstraße, which honours the painter Anselm Feuerbach.
Anselm Feuerbach (1829–1880), born in Speyer, died in Venice, is counted among the leading German painters of the second half of the 19th century. The street was named after him in 1906. The station was planned as Feldstraße, after an older street that was merged into Feuerbachstraße in 1932, and opened in 1933.
