Named after Karl Lade (1909–1945), resistance fighter against Nazism.
Karl Lade, the son of parents of French origin, organised illegal actions at the Askania works in Mariendorf during the Second World War. Arrested in July 1944, he was executed in Brandenburg-Görden prison on 8 January 1945. In 1975 part of the former Roederstraße was renamed after him.
