Named after Kopernikusstraße and Warschauer Straße, which cross here.
Kopernikusstraße, named in 1902, honours the astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus (1473–1543), who described a universe with the Sun, not the Earth, at its centre. Warschauer Straße, named in 1874, recalls Warsaw, the capital of Poland.
