Osloer Straße

Gesundbrunnen

Named after Osloer Straße, which honours the Norwegian capital.

The street was planned as ‘Straße 76’ in the Hobrecht Plan of 1862 and named Christianiastraße on 8 March 1892, after the Norwegian capital, then called Christiania. When the city took the name Oslo on 1 January 1925, Berlin followed – but only on 4 November 1938. The station opened in 1976, and its second platform in 1977.
