Prendener Straße

Neu-Hohenschönhausen

Named after Prenden, a village north-east of Berlin.

Prenden, today part of the municipality of Wandlitz in Brandenburg, lies about 32 km north-east of central Berlin; it was first recorded in 1306 as ‘Pranden’. The street got its name in 1986. Its route largely follows the former Wartenberger Straße, as it was called from 1906; before that it was the Wartenberger Weg.
