Rathaus Lichtenberg

Named after the Rathaus Lichtenberg, the borough’s neo-Gothic town hall.

The brick town hall on Möllendorffstraße was completed on 11 November 1898 for what was then the village of Lichtenberg. It served the municipality until 1907, then the town of Lichtenberg until 1920, and since then the Berlin borough. Who really designed it is unclear; the plans were drawn up by master builder Oscar Peucker.
