Named after Reval, the old German name of Tallinn, capital of Estonia.
The street was named in 1903; in the building plan it had been ‘Straße 12a’. The railway repair works along it opened in 1867 and stayed in use in GDR times. It was wound down from 1991, and the site is now used for culture.
